About ME

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT, AND STILL HAPPY

Life is about experiences. Good, bad or indifferent, you literally have to live life. Life is not a spectator sport!

Hi. I’m Gibson Goff, you can call me Gibby.

And although I have been practicing self help techniques for over four decades I still have managed to be evicted, locked out, have declared bankruptcy, been divorced, fired from jobs, and lost close, loved ones to tragic deaths.

It has been a ride!

But also during the past four decades, I have had two great careers, now going on a third. I am happily married. I have had homes, condos, boats, classic cars, motorcycles and trucks. I have flown airplanes, traveled the continental United States, most of Canada and Germany. And I have worked at the management level of some of the largest corporations in the world, and did well. I’ve won numerous awards. And at times I have made a lot of money!

My life has indeed been all about the experience. And I’ve loved every minute of it.

Has it been hard enough at times to make me go weak at the knees and slump into a crying mess? Yes, it has. When I married my now wife I asked her one very important question. If we were so poor that we suddenly found ourselves living in a cardboard box under the bridge, would you still be with me?

She said yes, as long as the cardboard box had a shower.

We’ve been together since 1999, and we’re still together. Life has had it’s cycles. We have endured the wolf at the door. We’re no different in that aspect than anyone else.

What does differentiate me from other self help practitioners and writers is that I know the techniques I practice work, but then don’t work. Or so you would say.

I know they work, and I keep moving the ball forward. But life will still rear it’s ugly head. What you do at that point dictates how much you can still help yourself. How much you can still prosper. And how quickly you can recover from the punch to the gut you just received from life.

You can be happy. You can overcome. And you can indeed have a fantastic life, however you categorize that.

There are things you do in safe waters, smooth seas and sunshine filled days.

But there are also things you can do in storms, in hardships and in approaching failure. And I can show you what those are.

I’m still happy. I smile a lot. You can be happy as well. You really can!

And I would love to share this experience of life with you. It really is grand.
